FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The most common reason that credit cards stop being accepted is that your internet service is down. The reason that fleet and gift cards continue to work is that they do not require the internet connectivity to be authorized. This will also be accompanied by an 11004-error on the CardMate terminal any time a credit card is swiped. To check if your internet connection is working, open an internet browser and do a search on your favorite search engine. If you can't get the search page open or your search yields "Page can not be displayed", then your internet is down. Usually this can be remedied by simply unplugging the power to you DSL modem for 60 seconds and allowing it a few minutes to reconnect. If that doesn't correct the problem, contact your internet service provider. WashGear can not provide you with support for your internet connection.

Other possible causes:
Cat-5 cable from the PC to the firewall is damaged or unplugged.
Cat-5 cable from the firewall to the DSL modem is damaged or unplugged.
Power cable to the firewall is damaged or unplugged.
Power cable to the DSL modem is damaged or unplugged.
