FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
An 11004-error error appearing on your CardMate terminal when a credit card is swiped means that your internet connection is not working. Usually this can be remedied by simply unplugging the power to you DSL modem for 60 seconds and allowing it a few minutes to reconnect.

Other possible causes:
Cat-5 cable from the PC to the firewall is damaged or unplugged.
Cat-5 cable from the firewall to the DSL modem is damaged or unplugged.
Power cable to the firewall is damaged or unplugged.
Power cable to the DSL modem is damaged or unplugged.
Network card on the PC is faulty.
Faulty PC.

To check if your internet connection is working, open an internet browser and do a search on your favorite search engine. If you can't get the search page open or your search yields "Page can not be displayed", then your internet is down and you should contact your internet service provider.
